about
Amy is many things, but above everything, she’s a born artist. Based in Portland, Amy was raised in the woods of Tennessee. She initially ignored her intuitive connection to nature, mostly because of the red clay dirt her dad expected her to shovel. Instead, she successfully explored what seems like almost every other medium that allowed her to share her magical artistry with the people who needed it most… but more on that later.
Now a certified master gardener, Amy's approach is rooted in joy and connection. With just the right amount of whimsy, earnestness, and practicality (water savvy, low maintenance, edible), Amy manages to capture the unexpected in your everyday aesthetic. Your garden is her canvas and your dream landscape is her muse.
Still interested in all the ways Amy tried to deny her deep rooted passion for gardening? She worked in children’s television, live theatre, live radio, a short stint at the circus, and teaching in the U.S. and abroad. And now? Amy can never find her own kids when she needs some shoveling done!
